Hi all, it’s so nice to be back making music in person on a regular basis once again!
In speaking to people in Australia and overseas it’s clear we’ve all been through a hard time in the Arts but hopefully things are starting to progress. I’ve added a “new” piece to my SA collection, a piece called Against The Odds, commissioned by the Western Australian Massed Choir Festival in 2019 for 2020.
Hi everyone. In response to some on-line interest I’ve added a fun warm up that I wrote years ago for what was Australian Arts Alive (A3), now known as Aspa Education. The piece is called Pentatonic Patchwork and it encourages the use of solfa syllables (do, re, mi, so and la) and the use of Curwen hand signs for these sounds.
Hi everyone. I hope you're safe and healthy. I have just added some new pieces to my website, namely different vocal settings of The Land of Nod, Robert Louis Stevenson's poem about going to sleep and visiting the land of dreams, a unison arrangement of Jasmine Flower and a unison version of Two Unicorns.
Hi everyone. It's been a while since I updated things on my website. Let's hope that things can improve soon. There were such promising signs in Australia at the start of this year! 3 times in Melbourne we had a series of 8 Australian Girls Choir concerts cancelled earlier this year, with lockdown twice occurring a couple of days prior to these events! I'm sure everyone has similar stories of some kind. I've been busy doing arrangements but little on the composing side. I hope you're keeping well.

Churchlands Senior High School's choir (Perth, Western Australia) performed my commissioned work "Moondyne Joe" on their recently completed European Tour. Congratulations to them! I was on long service leave in Europe (for 10 weeks!) and unfortunately missed hearing them perform in Prague! Click here for a link to their pre tour performance of the work!
